Lash Lift vs Lash Perm: Which One is Best For You?

For a person new in the beauty industry, it is very easy to mix up the differences between Lash Lift and Lash Perm. Both are relatively similar procedures for natural lashes to curl semi-permanently, therefore getting them mixed up is easy. But, in reality, there are differences in application as well as in the end result that how the lashes will look like after application.

Let’s look at what makes the lash lift and perm the same as well as different.

Lash Lift

Lash lift is a more modern and effective procedure of semi-permanent lash curl.

1. Lash Lift Application

In this procedure, lashes are combed over and stuck onto silicone pads called shields and a softening solution is brushed on to lift the lashes from the root and reshape them into an upward curl.

Next, a setting solution is applied to the bottom third of the lashes to fix the lashes’ new shape . This setting solution breaks the lashes’ protein bonds and make them curled on to the silicone pads.

Before finishing the procedure, lashes get a slick of nourishing oil to make them look oh-so healthy and glossy.

Finally, lash lift is combined with lash tint which usually darkens the lashes for extra definition and prominence.

Similar to lash lift, nourishing oil is applied to the lashes to make them look glossy and healthy.

Finally, lash perming is combined with lash tint to darken the lashes for extra definition.

Which one is best for you?

The lash lift and perm use different techniques, products, and tools to create a lasting lash curl.

Lash lift is more popular because other than curling the lashes it also makes the lashes look longer, prominent and more visible. Moreover, in terms of application procedure, lash lift stands out it’s less damaging to lashes than the perm, thanks to its protein-packed solution and application to just the bottom part of lashes.
